Grisonthaler Raw Milk Cheese

Approx. 5.88 oz wedge | Raw Milk | Aged 60+ Days

Grisonthaler is a traditional Swiss-style raw milk cheese named after the Grison family dairy and their Swiss heritage.

Aged for a minimum of 60 days, it develops a pleasant nuttiness and deeper flavor while remaining incredibly versatile. It’s the kind of cheese that’s just as good sliced and eaten on its own as it is melted onto a sandwich or added to a cheeseboard.

If you’re looking for a true artisan raw milk cheese with traditional European roots, this is one we’d start with.

Made in the Missouri Ozarks

Grison Dairy & Creamery was founded in 1997 by Swiss immigrants who brought their family’s European dairy traditions to the Missouri Ozarks. Today, the family raises Holstein and Brown Swiss cows on their farm near Ava, Missouri, emphasizing pasture and producing much of their own forage.

Their cheesemaking roots run especially deep. Grison’s cheesemaker trained in Switzerland through a traditional cheesemaking apprenticeship before bringing that knowledge back to the family dairy in Missouri.

The result is something pretty special: small-batch Missouri cheese with genuine Swiss roots, made just a few hours from us.

Why Evergreen carries it: We want to connect our home-delivery customers with exceptional food produced by real farmers close to home. Grison Dairy is exactly the kind of producer we’re proud to partner with.

Each wedge is individually cut and packaged. Actual weight will vary slightly; 5.88 oz is the approximate average.
